The 2003 Main Gala

The SNBR main gala was held over the weekend of 13th and 14th September 2003. Attractions included the all available SNBR engines in use, a Foden steam lorry and stone crusher for the whole weekend. Model layouts in the shed, drive - a - train and a shuttle to and from the sheds (the yard shuttle). Each day saw 3 steam engines in service and two express trips as well on Saturday a special triple headed 7 coach train.
Tegen also got some more track miles under her belt, and surprisingly Mallard managed two whole days of service without incident. Other engine stars of the show, was the returning SNBR steam engine Owd Rosie, making her 2003 debut after her recent rebuild and of course the visiting Tess.

Here are links to photographs taken at the event.
